Dr. Vali Mohammadi spent most of
his early childhood in London,
England. At the age of eight,
his family immigrated to Los
Angeles, CA where he attended
both high-school and pursued his
undergraduate studies. Dr. Vali
spent four years at the
California Institute of
Technology performing research
in neuroscience while receiving
his B.A. in Biological Sciences
and a minor in Art History from
the University of Southern
California in 1997. While
completing his undergraduate
studies, Dr. Vali volunteered at
the Los Angeles Free Clinic for
disadvantaged children. He
graduated from
Tufts University
School of Dental Medicine
in Boston, MA with a degree in
doctor of dental medicine in
2003. Shortly after, he moved to
New York City to pursue training
in oral surgery and facial
trauma, where he received a
certificate in General Practice
from Saint Vincent’s Catholic
Medical Center. Dr. Vali then
entered into private practice in
Manhattan, NY for a short period
prior to pursuing a residency in
the pediatric dental field. He
received his certificate of
residency in Pediatric Dentistry
from
Jacobi Medical Center in NY in January of 2007.
Dr. Vali also received training
at the Rose F. Kennedy Center
for developmentally disabled
children, completed more than
forty operating room cases, and
has extensive training in
sedation techniques and handling
oral and dental trauma.
In 2007, Dr. Vali developed
Scarsdale Dentist For Kids, the
pediatric division of
Scarsdale Dental Spa. Throughout his training Dr. Vali
developed expertise in the
treatment of infants, children,
and adolescents.
Dr. Vali is a member of the
American Academy of Pediatric
Dentistry, the
American Academy of Pediatrics,
the
International Association of
Pediatric Dentistry, the
British Society of Pediatric
Dentistry, and the
American Dental Association.
Dr. Vali is from a large family,
has two nephews aged three and
five, spends his free time
appreciating modern art and
architecture, and appreciates
exploring other cultures through
traveling.
